CRAFT--CHURCH-CRASHED IN CAR!!

CRAFT
Saturday afternoon mommy was experimenting with different stuff to teach Children's Church 3/4 yr old. She let me make a construction paper "E " for elephant and we put egg noodles on it!!! We also colored 4 pictures in my coloring book of heffalumps! We also played with the alphabet letters on the frig and concentrated on the E!!! I love the glue stick but the noodles did not stick on my paper! So mom put the big pour glue on and I stuck noodles everywhere!!! I could not wait to SHOW daddy but it was stuck to the floor with all the glue! Daddy and mommy went to the dollar store and found some foam doorknob hangers and colored pom poms that we glued on--all my friends liked it!!!

CHILDREN'S CHURCH

We went early to make copies and find glue in a cupboard. Mommy started reading the story but Luke was screaming so loud it hurt my ears and he wanted his mommy! Mommy then stopped the story and passed out color sheets --daddy read our two short stories while all of us colored our papers! I sat next to MacKensie she is nice and we shared crayons back and forth. I sat very good (unlike last week--I did not want daddy to help the other kids and clung to daddy.) We had ten friends in class--and then we did the doorknob craft and pom poms! Daddy read another story from a book about David and Golith and mommy gave teddy grahams to those kids listening!!! The older kids brought in a snack to share with us their lesson was on SERVING OTHERS so they brought cups of trail mix and popcorn. Luke came back in 40 min later and sat in the chair next to me---I tried to offer him some of my popcorn mommy heard me asking him do you want some of my popcorn Luke!! (What a compassionate heart! ahhh---what every mom loves to see)

CRASHED IN CAR
I took no nap again today!!! I did earn 3 stickas for going in the pottychair during the two hour stretch I was suppose to be sleeping! After daddy took a nap we went to Superone to go grocery shopping I was driving along in the big car and talking away when we got to the checkout stand I had crashed out and was sound asleep----it was 5 pm!! Daddy put me in my carseat and we went to the 2nd store! The funny thing is she lives to go in the cars and was so tired could not stay awake!! I did not have my camera!! It was very hard to wake her up 40 minutes later--we actually had to undress her and put her jammies on by 6 pm--she ate mac and cheese and watched her KIDSONG DVD and DONUT MAN on mom's laptop as dad watched football on tv!! ha!

New toothbrush! Heffalump Catcher!!

HI---My mom unusually writes these posts but I wanted to tell you about my new toothbrush----after pizza and icecream Friday night my toothbrush I ran it along the side of my pottychair (YUCK)!!! So I got a new one---Saturday morning mom took me to the dollar store! It is pink and lights up--whoa! The old one had a suction cup on the bottom so we have to prop this one up---I can stand for a very long time and suck the toothpaste off the brush--and love to run it under water and suck water off it!! I don't like when mommy brushes my teeth because I am a big girl and want to do it ALL BYSELF!!!! I grab the toothbrush away from her and try it with two brushes!! My teeth are shiny white so far if I keep brushing them!!!

I also got a new "giraffe scarf" which we call "Heffalump catcher" I use it to capture heffalumps

while I watch my favorite all time movie!!! I am always trying to catch heffalumps and my new scarf is so great!!

Fun Friday Family Night!

Friday night we all needed something fun to do! So after nap mommy and "G" went to the movie theater to buy movie gift certificates for our two neighbor kids that watched our cat last week while we were gone! Next stop was Papa Murpheys then onto Hollywood Video. I have not been in a video rental store forever (maybe years.) Lee always picks the video out because I fall asleep on any movie!! In fact I think it's the first time Gretchie had been in a video store--we go to the library and get ours free!

Lee had a special movie request and told me to let "G" pick a movie----tooo cute of course he had never had the experience of her picking out her own rental movie! When I set her down in the children's aisle--she went toward Charolette's Web (we had it at home) She then picked up Bug's Life and handed it to me as I was kneeled on the floor. She then thought she could get 2 movies (we get 2 at the library-she is so conditioned to get two ) She went and got a movie with a bear on it--looked cute but to old for her. So I said in a couple years--oh ok mom! Off to the shelf to pick out another movie---which movie this time?? UH--one with a real monkey on it in a ski jacket---(makers of AIR BUD) I don't know movies one bit--I am sure my child will the way she picks up on things!! That was it off to the counter---to rent Bug's Life-looked good to me!! She paid for the movie and then off to get icecream at Superone ---she asked if she could ride in the big car! They unfortunately did not have the cars available or were all being used (this is the case alot at this store) So I let her ride in the infant seat cart!! HA--I picked the icecream---figured she had a movie daddy had a movie --Mommys choice for icecream!! (YEAH)!!! Oh boy was she excited when we got home but the concept that it was 3:30 pm and daddy did not get home until 5:30 pm was a little more than a two year old could bear--especially with a new DVD and pizza and icecream all in front of her! We drew picture thank-yous for our cat sitters and took them over to their house--well she was disappointed they did not invite her in----I think she thought they wanted to play with her they are 9 and 11. She spread the tablecloth out on the living room floor and started talking nonstop when daddy came through the door!!! She loved the movie and where the ants were marching started acting the parts out and repeating lines-----50 min. into the movie it stopped---the movie was scratched and would not play!! She looks at us and explains WHAT HAPPENED??? We said oh it is over--but she is smart and so I said is broken!!! We will look at the library to see if they have it!!! Asleep by 8:20pm!!!! YEAH!! And slept 12 hours!!

Oh----it is so yummy, yummy in my tummy! I love mac and cheese!!! LOOK AT MY HEFFALUMP ---I MADE AT STORYTIME AND CRAFT ON WED!!

LET'S THINK!! NOTHING COULD BE BETTER THAN THIS!!!

I SAY MAKE IT HOT! THAT MEANS EVERYONE TOASTS THEIR CUPS AT EVERY MEAL!!!

Today I made a tunnel with my dad and mom's bedspread---whoa it was soo fun---mommy would not play inside my tunnel so she let the cat come in---although the cat ran away before she could get pictures of both of us!!

** My back really hurt one night when I was putting her to bed---I swear she has gained 2-4 pounds since Christmas. I try not to complain around her but I just said oh my back hurts ----well the next day--she says while she is playing OH MY BACK HURTS!! Now--I stared at her and she gets this cute look and rolls her eyes-knowing fully well her back did not hurt!

** One night in bed she sits up and says I have a horsey ==I said what??
Mommy watch this----my horsey voice!! heeehe!

** That was Monday night it was soooo windy and she sits up again and says I HEAR A NOISE--I HEAR A TRUCK---no G thats the wind Jesus made! OH ----and then she says mom listen as she leans over and knocks on her headboard to make a sound! She is usually eating the flowers off the headboard----ha what a creative child!

** Thursday after nap I heard a bump---I went up in her room she is standing in the middle of her room holding both blankies and puppy and bottle--she starts talking nonstop---and telling me she fell out of bed! I don't know if she did or not and really could not see any evidence of falling out--maybe climbing out and falling on her bottom--but if that was right then how could she be standing in the room holding all her stuff??? MYSTREY!
**Reading books to daddy in the recliner and kept saying OH BOTHER I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS. (over and over) Bother is from Winnie Pooh and I have no idea where the question word came from.
**Gretchie has played computer games the last 3 days--she is hooked and fast learner! I should have been smarter and kept the girl off my laptop--but we played games at the hotel and she loved it!!!
**One cute thing...............G was doing little wooden puzles with Kelly (librarian) and she had a pineapple---when asked what is that? She does not hesitate and says OCTOPUS!! Now use your creative mind and imagine a pineapple and turn it upside down and its an octopus with legs!
** Friday morning we had a whiny and demanding two year old on my hands--nothing was right(this is extremely rare and she had a good night of sleep)---would not get dressed (she did put her stretch pants on byself and then went over and peed in them) did not eat her eggs toast and raisins and then when I took her to the bank (good girl) and post office (clung to me at the post office)and park--she said it was too cold and wanted to go home!! Must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed. She did ask puppy do you want to watch video? Then took puppy over to the drawer and had puppy pick out the Barney Zoo video and says Its my favorite!! Placed puppy so he could watch the tv!

Thursday with a two year old!

This morning Gretchen slept until 8:30 am!!! She took no nap yesterday-after two hours of trying--mommy figured she could just put her down for bed earlier--the problem is...... IF ..."G" doesn't take a nap-she wakes up 3-4 hours later and will not go back down! This has been the case 3/out of the 4 times (since Christmas) we had no nap! One being Christmas EVE-ha! So "brown bear" fell asleep at 7:40 pm-----zonked! Mommy got to spend the whole evening with daddy alone!! At 11:10 pm we were turning out the lights and I hear a very faint mommy-- soft cry ---mommy! I went upstairs and she was standing in my closet--(light was on) she started talking (no idea what she was saying but it was sooo cute) Daddy made it hot (bottle) and put her back down she tossed and turned for an HOUR!!! I am not sure if she was asleep or not!! She then looks at me and says Lets go for a ride!! UGH! As she crawled into my arms and asked again--I said no honey not tonight--boy!! That made her mad and she cried for twenty minutes--daddy came back down and helped me calm her down! He said her eyes were closed---?? and he thought she was dreaming----she did this one night at the hotel--whether its a dream or just being two-----who knows!!! Sleep at 12:30 am !! Gretchie did tell me today--that she was in my closet and mommy was downstairs and she cried for mommy and daddy and mommy came back ------(too cute!)

She wanted to see daddy............he was at work! I had given her a stack of books in bed while I got dressed. she then carried all 9 books into our room to find daddy and went over on his side of the bed. It was precious and I almost cried---I had to tell her he was at work! She replied OH OK!
She wasn't ok with it though this time----and started to pout.....I said Let's go take a picture of the books and send to daddy on the computer! So these are the photos we took to send---ha! She was handing one book to the camera or she thought it was daddy! I love email--but G thinks people can see her in the phone---we did call him tooo!! The morning went quick two hours later than we are use too---I was going to go to the post office but with a two year old busier than ever it got pushed aside!! G made atunnel with my bedspread and had a BLAST!! Wanted me to Tunnel me---tunnel with her! I threw the cat inside the tunnel. Then I made macaroni for lunch --see pic.
As I cleaned up she played outside sorta---she wanted me to play outside
also. Today was sunny but still cold!! She asked for a towel to dry her slide off!!
Tuesday nap---I totally forgot to put a pullup on her as I laid her down!! She had underpants on (not training pants-the thinnest ones ever) I realized it when I was cleaning and found the pullup on the counter I was carrying around! She had gone down for a nap sooo good--but wakes up easily---so I decided to deal with the wet bed after nap---I went in about two and found Gretchen standing straight up in the middle of her bed!!! Mommy she says I need to get dressed! I am wet from the ba ba! I said oh Gretchie mommy is so sorry you had no pullup on------Mommy its ok! Promise its ok!! (now was I the one trying to tell her it was my fault)
So Gretchie got to take a bath for a good hour and she forgot to ask to watch Heffalump---at all!! The perks of a forgetful mom!!!!
