We did Baby Pilates at Baby Boogie today(music class at the library)---Those of you that have no idea what I just typed its basically stretching exercises with your baby! I told Gretchen it was EXERCISE! She is sooo leary of new situations and just stood there while all the moms and kids laid down on the pillows. With alot of coaxing from me for her to lie down and watch the overheads and how the baby can lie on the mother's legs and act like a BALL. She started to participate--Of course I dressed her in a sundress for excerises! She actually was doing good and enjoying it---sometimes you can't make sure until we get home! Well....It made a huge impression on her and she read the 6 or 7 page handout --looked at the photos and then taught me---she then had to show daddy baby pilates!! I went to put the paper up on the counter and she took it and put it in her book basket! I was tired of exercising-ha! So she went and got her doll and all her elephants and did pilates, pat-a-cake and tick tock with each one and then would lie them down!! She even added at the end of her teaching GREAT JOB to each participant!!! Now that is funny!!

We then went over to pay for our car that got fixed and then when Lee came home we went to pick it up and ran into WMart for a few things--We saw one of our friends who is moving and stood and talked a long time and Gretchen played with her neice (4 yr) in the toy aisle!!

Pajamma Story

JULY 2007!! 21 months old!!

OK---I just remembered this story and had to post it!!! Gretchen was born in October 2005! We had our first baby shower the week before we got her referral (the day she was born). Our shower was AWESOME the ladies at our church were so sweet and generous and it was soooo fun to get cute baby stuff! They make each new baby a quilt!! There were five other (6 with Gretchie) babies in our small church born from Oct-Feb. TWO girls and four boys!! Soooo .......I went to tons of baby showers --My friend was pregnant with her third boy and at her shower (January) she recieved a pair of white and purple 24 month sleeper jammies! Well knowing she was having a boy --every gift was boyish! We laughed so hard---thankfully the gift giver was not present. Well---Gretchen came home April 7th and we had another baby shower at the elementary school I use to work at ---I received another gift from this same friend and when I saw the white and purple sleeper jammies I could not stop laughing---she unfortunately could not be at this shower last minute! SO -----I had to tell the story she had REGIFTED it to me!!! The two of us are always talking about how we recieve gifts form our secret pals each month and then regift it to someone else!(bad I know--but you can only get so much lotion-bath jell-etc.) Then when we picked new secret pals--I got her name for 6 months! I regifted NOTHING--she always guesses who it is and had NO IDEA!!!

NAP--on the livingroom floor! Whatever works right?? Notice the laundry basket she had to put her legs in to fall asleep--it was eventually kicked away! She saw John Carlos sleeping on the floor--on their blog--and YES-she to wanted to try it---what a copycat! So this photo was to show Kathy and John!!! Reading the Tuesday ads on the porch!!!

WOW-when you have a busy weekend like we did last week it takes all week to post the photos---

Tuesday-Gretchie and mommy caught up on EVERYTHING !!! Laundry,vaccuuming, more yard sale cleaning out!! Not too exciting but we did capture some cute photos of Gretchen-----------

PAJAMA TIME!

Bought these at Costco---they finally had to be put away in the small drawer tonight---------taken a couple months ago.
Love these jammies also--she will not take the shirt of these off in the morning each time we wear them--she too loves these jammies!! I have let her wear the tops the next day with jeans-ah ah!
FIRST NIGHT IN HER REAL BIG BED! (Sept 2007)These jammies were hand-me downs from cousin Andrea (9) and I finally cut the feet off and they were worn that way until they became to small in the arms! I called these her blue bunny jammies---she loved them so she could wear her shoes with them!
At the hotel in April 2007(18 months)---Amma had to fix the zipper in these jammies of Andrea's.

This is such a great theme especially tonight when I went to put her bluebird jammies on her and she says ooh these are too tight! (DARN) I have a hard time putting jammies away when they are too small. She is adorable and always says "jammies are so cuddly and snuggly". My opinion ***What is cuter than a child in footed jammies? I have more cute jammie photos but I will save them for another time---these were the ones that stuck out in my mind tonight----THESE JAMMIES ARE THE FIRST ONES SHE WORE IN GUATEMALA!!!

Memorial Day !

So much fun and so little time to post............Lee and I stayed up until 2:30 am Sunday night---Yes I know crazy but the TIME WAS SO NICE to have 5 hours together without a two year old asking if we are happy? or where we were going? LOVE THE BROWN EYED GIRL SO MUCH! But lately I am exausted when I put her to bed---Oh ya-Lee went to a movie at 9 to 11 pm---so I cleaned the house and played on the computer---ahh!!!

We drove to TriCities to go to COSTCO---and it was closed! So we went to Shopko and Target and Petsmart then had a very fun lunch at SONIC (burgers) It is new and a drive-in----they serve you your food on rollerskates! Gretchen just had fun eating in the car---we had driven our Saturn instead of the van so it was small--she sat on the console and ate her corndog!! She also was quite funny leaning out my window as we waited and ordered from the back of the menu on my side of the car! She ate her whole corndog--I ususally cut corndogs into tiny size--because they are choking concern! I let her eat the whole thing off the stick----yes mommy watched every bite!!

She said hi to another little girl in the next car! Slept on the way home-Home by 3 pm----- AND I LEFT MY CAMERA AT HOME---not on purpose!

We went to WMART and got groceries and came home and daddy mowed the lawn and I raked (it was very long) Gretchie played in the grass and kept telling daddy YOU DID A GREAT JOB@@ (my little actress---even was hanging her head saying she did not feel very good)(daddy was not 100 percent well today---she asked him every two minutes if he was better!) She pulled her lawn chair out into the lawn to rest or watch us!!We barbequed hotdogs----yummy!! She played with the hose----this was always one of my favorite thing to do while growing up----G was soaked!! She went to bed EXCELLENT-and all BYSELF!!! We stayed up until midnight---yeah-just to finish the weekend!! That was silly because it started the week tired! OH well.........................and they finally painted my ugly yellow and rust fire hydrant after nine years of living here--so I had to post a photo--made MY DAY!!!

See the path down the mountain--we took the hard way up and walked down this nice path! Wouldn't you know we could have climbed up this way also--what a nice day for a hike!! Of course Princess got gravel in her sandals--and that just bugs her like crazy!!! We spend lots of time dumping out our shoes!

WAIT FOR ME I AM COMING she kept saying--- I can hike this mountain just like Dora and Boots go over the mountain---ON OUR WAY UP !!!

YUMMY CHOCOLATE MILK AND MY CRAZY STRAW!!!

Today (Sunday) my daddy made me a special drink--Chocolate Milk!!!!!! Yum-thats the first time I tasted it and I LOVE IT!!! When I asked mommy the next two days for the special drink--somehow she did not know how to make it!ha---I will leave that treat for daddy and G!! I just got a strange look from her and off she went-ha! Don't tell her I do know how--===
Sunday we went to church--Gretchie was great in the song service (our track record is off and on)(sometimes she makes noises to get attention on purpose) She even lasted 15 minutes into the sermon(yeah!)---(I was ready to take her out if need be) She says lets go mom after 15 min of being quiet--- we got out in the foyer and she had to use the bathroom--(ah! Better than yelling I have to go pee pee-which has happened before-teehhaa) She then wanted to go back in the sanctuary---I seriously did not want to go back in---so I said let's go to your class with your friends---(she freaked out the last three weeks when they had the 3 and 4 yr olds with the older kids) So they had the 3 and 4 yr olds back in the small classroom with a teacher. Nope---so we sat and read the childrens paper--went potty a 2nd time and then joined daddy for the closing song and prayer!!

Took her on a stroller ride because she refused to take a nap----and she was NOT GOING WITHOUT (like Mothers Day) got her to sleep quickly and then transferred her to her bed----five min. later she was crying --I dont want to take a nap---so her nap was 18 min-- BETTER THAN NO NAP AT ALL--haha! She either refuses a nap lately or crashes from exaustion or when I do get her down she sleeps two hours for nap and I have been waking her at hour and half!(just to get her to bed at night--oh the joy of toddlerhood)

At 3pm we went to Dairy Queen and got dilly bars--G has never had her own dilly bar and I took cute photos---we decided to go show her all the flags at the cemetary---figured we would lose her if we let her out and she would think it was a playground so we kept her in the carseat as we ate our dilly bars under a tree. By the way we did not have anyone we knew in the cemetary---just went to look at the flags!! YA--kinda strange---but it was fun--we did see my friend Ann and talked to her as she walked by our car!

We then went on a hike up the only so called mountain in our town! The Butte is over near the park and we were looking for another geo cache-

Not planning on going hiking--Gretchie had her favorite shoes on which were sandals! She was a trooper and daddy carried her UP part way and I carried her when we got to the top--(31 pound child climbing up the side of a mountain?? ugh)

I am so out of shape or was I ever in shape---ha!

We came home and Gretchie was wild and playing with all the pillows from the couch which was rally cute---She had them stacked up like Jack and Jill and then would jump off!! I laid on the couch to much exercise for mom! Daddy watched Nascar!!! Look at her three drinks after the hike--water juice and milk and she chose juice!!!
