TERRIBLE TUESDAY 12/30

Good grief I am creative with my Blog titles!!! Just trying to work backwards to Christmas and today (TUES 12/30) I took NO PHOTOS!! Although today was eventful in ways we would not want to remember!! I woke up sore and thinking I have put my TIME in for this tailbone to heal --I will go to the chiropractor one more time! WELL---unfortunately I had not driven since Wednesday night December 17th---we got a terrible snowstorm and it was impossible for me to shovel us out TH and Friday (we stayed home) and then Lee came home Saturday for ten days---so driving in this white stuff in my condition I did not do!! Yesterday we chose to stay home and clean then today we went out to the van to go do errands and chiro. and I slipped on the only icy patch on our driveway!! OUCH!!! Down I fell with G toast and egg in a ziplock bag went flying!! Yes!!! It was completely dry pavement and sunshine--probably the best weather we have had in two weeks!!!! Now G just stood on the porch looking at me---and then replied mommy Are you ok---did you break your tailbone again???? (doll face) I laid there got my self up and walked into the house--Gretchie says----Mommy you will be just fine when we go to the dr. in a few minutes----Her sweetnes and my clumsiness made me cry! I did try to fall gracefully and on my leg and not on my bottom again--(if there is such a chance) She then says--Mommy dont cry I will get you a kleenex and just blow your nose---ahhhhh!!! I canceled my chiro. appointment which was THEN and rescheduled for tomorrow morning!! Then sweet pea says --(gotta love when they act older than 3??) Lets play preschool and then we can play doctor!!!! Take a deep breath and I will get my toys for us to play with!!! So she had an immobile mommy again today---and also had the ten year old neighbor girl come over and play for an hour an half--(which I should hire her daily to play elephants with G) Melissa even commented to me--she seems like she is 5 years old not 3!!! Gotta love her!!! (TRY 10 years old G--when a ten year old has fun playing with a 3yr old and not feeling obligated to play!) Although we have sweet neighbor kids who adore Gretchen!!!

CHRISTMAS MORNING 5:30 AM!!

Gretchie woke up at 5:30 am CHRISTMAS MORNING and wanted to go downstairs to watch a movie! Now I would have thought it was just the excitement of Christmas--but she did this twice last week also at 4 am! and went back to bed! When I asked her later why she woke up she shrugs her shoulders and says I don't know why mom--MAYBE the clock stopped!!(how is that for a reason at 3 yrs old) So I said Christmas morning lets go back to bed--NO! she was not going-- so I threw a pillow on the floor next to my bed and said just lay down---NO! As she stood in our bedroom doorway and asked once more --I ignored her minutes later I saw her shadow in the hall lay down and this is how I found her--Waiting for her presents and Santa---but we never told her SANTA was coming---HA!! I may need to frame this photo of her in her new elephant polka dot jammies on Christmas morning!!! She is always ready for a party somewhere!

Family Day 12/23

PLAYING A COMPUTER CD--Birth of JESUS! I went to do her hair and she put the blanket on her head (2nd day) and says I AM MARY!! I had to laugh---the smart child and not wanting her hair fixed! NOTICE: I won with the hair!!

Tuesday started like any other day watching Dumbo, checking my emails, but today DADDY WAS HOME--(he took the whole week off) Merry Christmas to US!!! Daddy worked on the driveway and walks shoveling all that SNOW and finally after hours he was DONE!!! He took a shower at noon and then we went to Tri-Cities (30 min). We went to 3 stores and mall and RED ROBIN at 4:30 for dinner!! Came home and G took a bath and bed!! I am posting our photos from Tuesday!!! We also had gotten a cake at the church bake sale on Sunday and put a candle in it and sang happy birthday to JESUS!

I took 22 pictures yesterday---of our sweet girl! Yes! I have been horrible at posting just enjoying this girl minute by minute and what she comes up with in her three year old mind makes us laugh!! Monday Lee took this week off from work which was such a BLESSING and much needed time to be TOGETHER!! The snow has slowed me down considerably but on the other hand I was already slowed to a HALT with my tailbone still giving me PAIN IN THE YOU KNOW WHAT!!! The cold the past couple days have made it bad and our little girl loves to give hugs and tell me I will be better soon---the doctor will make it better mommy and daddy will be home soon--wish it was that EASY!! I am so not a complainer but ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!! On ON to brighter stuff........................CHRISTMAS at our house this year will be so fun with an energetic and full of life daughter!! I am so trying to emphasize the REASON of Jesus's birthday and giving gifts to others---when the package for Uncle Jeff and Aunt Janny came in the mail Saturday Gretchie was adorable--mommy lets put it under the tree and not look---so she did!! It is from my cousins!!! But then I saw her shaking one gift (which is normal curiousity and saying I know what this is?) I of course had to shake it and she thinks its a video but no its in a tin box--sooo stay tuned?

I am downloading photos of G playing with all her 16 stuffed elephants on a little sled and she was being so fair and giving them all a turn!! Until she decided it was her turn!! She also makes a jumpy house out of all the couch pillows and has a BLAST!! When we ran errands at 4 ish---Bank ,Post Office, Pick up our ham at the butcher, BIG 5!! Daddy stopped to get a suprise---A SLURPEE!! Now she has never had a slurpee and was bouncing off the pillows due to sugar!! Daddy bought her the supersize one also! Her eyes were so HUGE!! Needless to say Mommy's eyes were too and of course she was willing to share generously!!! She said OH-- I LOVE BANANA SLURPEES AND THIS IS SUCH A SPECIAL TREAT!! Enjoy the photos----
