WORKBOOK/ WALK/ POPCORN

Wednesday after Gretchie's two hour nap---she received a cute workbook on Sorting and grouping things into catagories! To my utter suprise the child aced each page we did! Papa and Amma had sent it to her in the mail--it had cute punchout animals and we put them in a snack size ziplock bag! So do you think I should start addition and subtraction--(just kidding) The child counts everything in spanish always and on our walk I hear tres>cuatro >cinco. We have gone on a walk the past two nights---last night a lady and her 3 kids from storytime stopped to talk when we got home and daddy was mowing---I hear G chatting away to the kids--it was so cute but I missed most of their conversation as I was talking myself!!! Tonight I really was discouraging her from going up the hill on the walk---She breaks out into song Jack and Jill went up the hill----I changed it to mommy and Gretchie go up the hill---when we got to the top she says WHEW-I am sweaty ---sits down and then says lets go home! I replied mommy was right again---Mommy you are right she says---(the hill is not that big -but I am not in shape and this heat!!) We came home put our jammies on and watched Barney and made popcorn!

Wed News!

This is not the best shot of her outfit--but she decided to cover her face with the empty chocolate chip bag! And the straw sandal shoes I wanted her to wear are on the counter beside her with the cereal bar she took one bite of for breakfast---plus the untouched bowl of hot cereal--I put frozen blueberries in ----she did have 3-4 blueberries!

I finally downloaded all the photos from last week and Fri, Sat Sun, Mon (in process of posting-but I am so fed up with dial-up slow connection)and then Tuesday we stayed home and I took tons of photos--Today I tried to contain myself from taking pictures-but her outfit was ADORABLE!! Friday when we were in Spokane I went to my favorite kids consignment store and they had a .25 cent clothing sale---I spent $6.00 (cheaper than a movie) and got some cute things!! So today she wore a skort and shirt(wish it was my size) to Boogie and Storytime----Wacky Wed at library so we had to write down everything in the library that was out of place! Like pots and pans hanging and tpaper stacked on a bookshelfand etc. Guess what ??? She found Babar movie on the shelf again--that is one movie I will not buy---- (because then she won't have the excitement that she found it once again!) She is sooo cute though-she knows if she gets a movie she has to get a book also--so she goes over and picks the movie and a book and stands in line! Lee is going to Portland tonight to take his 3 year test tomorrow---(can't wait until this apprenticeship is OVER!) (the price of gas is killing us-with a hour commute each way)(not to mention a tired husband) So goes life................

HOT HOT HOT!!!

YES IT HAS REACHED 100 degrees or hotter the last three days----(Sat, Sun, Mon) Today Tuesday it is probably cooled to 97--just guessing! We not only had the heat but thunderstorms Sun and Mon! It was so muggy and overcast and still 100 degrees at 9 pm Sunday night! I had a 2nd yard sale Saturday from 8 am to 1:45 pm--and made very little $$! NOT WORTH THE TIME!! Daddy and G hung out--when she was not shopping at my yard sale. Monday we stayed home and finished packing up the remaining JUNK into the van--took it away Tuesday! Photos coming! I have not been on the computer at all!!

Spokane trip 6/23 to 6/27

Well --Gretchen and I decided to drive up to Spokane (3 hours) to see my parents last week! Monday to Friday! Lee stayed & studied for his BIG THREE YEAR TEST!! He has to take a 5 hour test to finish his apprenticeship in meterman for the company soon. We had a fun* fun *fun time with Amma and Papa. Although Gretchie missed her daddy lots and lots! Wewent to storytime, checked out elephant books, went to park and the wading pool---went to a VBS singing program, met my friend Sharry and two girls one afternoon!

Normal Sunday--grocery shopping, lunch, nap!! Playtime and bath and bedtime. Laundry and cleaning and packing to leave for Spokane for the week! Gretchie loved Children's Church today.

Saturday-Parade and Car Show!

As you can see by me not posting for a week and that everyday has been packed and full of activity in the last two weeks! Saturday we left at 9 am--went to BKing and the parade in Umatilla at 10:30-afterwards we went to the marina sat and ate hotdogs and Gretchie played with Emma(21 months ) (Lance and Stephanie's )and Emillio (3)(Tessa's) She had fun!! We then drove to Hot Dessert Nights Car Show in Richland (30 min) WE HAVE GONE EVERY YEAR!! The weather was nice and not to hot!! Of course she fell asleep on the way there at 1:00 ish so we found a parking spot and sat in the car until two--we transferred her to the stroller--and went through the park looking at the classic cars! She slept another 45 min----nice nap!! When she woke up she played on the swings /slide for two hours! Lee talked to his brother. We went to Costco and got caught in a terrible downpour with rain and wind-, thunder and lightening--it was pretty cool! Lee ran and got the car as we waited ---I put a box over G head and she was singing ITS RAINING ITS POURING-(pic are in my cell phone)-When Lee pulled up I tossed her into the front seat with daddy--slammed the door(ON MY JAW---ouch!!!) Threw our cheese and other stuff into the trunk--I was drenched!! Gretchie had crawled into the backseat carseat and we took off--Lee stopped at Barnes and Noble as we sat in the car and then I ran into Petsmart as they stayed in the car! Dinner at Taco Time and home by 7:30 pm----what a fun day and another LONG DAY !!! Bath and bed----ahhh!
