DID YOU MISS MY SMILES??

TAH **DAH !! This was taken a couple weeks ago---mommy was taking photos with a film camera--she scanned it on to the printer and then saved it in a million places to finally load it on to the blog!!! Its been three weeks since Nana and Amma have seen my cute little face!!! What a lot of work to get this photo on the blog!!! WORTH IT THOUGH!!
This really shows her cute little personality---we laugh at her daily but lately when she is determined she has been NOT so pleasant!!! We have had more incidents in the last week- Today SAT 8/9 she was once again OVERTIRED---she has been waking up at 6-6:30 am instead of her normal 7:30 am wake up time--( 2 meltdowns-one before nap and one after) Tonight she was once again her compliant self and even listened when we left the park and was told to put daddy's blood pressure machine down! She replied ok mommy! TOOO CUTE!!!

Thursday & Friday

No silly USB oulet on this old laptop I am using ...........in fact I have the screen tilted or propped up with the printer and it takes a million minutes to get one page! So are we spoiled with new technology or what?? Thursday G and mommy stayed HOME all day -so mark that one on the calendar as a fun day!! We both needed the no activity and pumpkin head kept asking where we were going today?? I answered try staying HOME!! Lee took half WED all day THURS and all day FRI --he went and got milk THURS but then other than that we just hung out at home with laundry & dishes and G played so well with her dolls and blocks and animals colored etc. I did have to dig a french fry out of the cabbage patch dolls mouth--since she wanted to share her lunch with her doll Marissa!!! She took a bath at 7 pm and bed!!
Today was her last swim lesson and we had fun--it was very hot today!! She got two more free passes to the PLAYROOM at swim lessons -----yeah the fun never ends here!!! Lee had an appointment in WW this am and then was home when we got done with swim---G was asleep for nap!
The weather has been HOT and overcast and my lawn is so dying!! More later........

MY FIRST RODEO!!

Wow-Did we have a cute cowgirl in our prescence on Wed night!! I am going to try to load some photos on this computer (no promises) She told her swimming teacher she was going to the rodeo to see the goats! Ha! Well we did see the goats at the fair and then went to the rodeo---We had won our predinner tickets and rodeo tickets from UEC annual business meeting along with our $100 off our electric bill back in April!! It was a fun evening and cowgirl was super---after her meltdown at swim lessons earlier and then a 3 hour nap-----she was CUTE as usual! I did think about hiring a babysitter at 1 pm!! (Oh mommy where is your confidence and faith in me??) .

Jake Harold Stanley is officially Roger and Alison's son!! His birthparents signed all documents on Thursday morning . He is still in NICUU in Spokane but is getting stronger by the day and may be released to go HOME this weekend! God is good!

Tuesday swimming/Wed happenings

After nap on Tuesday we met Stephanie and Emma (2 yr) at the swimming pool! Gretchen had gotten a free swim pass for being in the reading program. We swam from 4 pm to 7:15 pm! My little fish would not give up and was exausted!!!Very fun evening!! But then today in swimming lessons was another story and was very clingy and would not get out of the pool!!! In fact screaming meltdown fit trying to get her out--(2nd public fit--) I stood my ground and tried to talk to her while we sat on the bench---I wrapped her in the towel---she was not reasoning or listening! She started toward the pool and when I said stop she stood there and cried. I gathered up my things quickly but she started walking around the corner. I went to get her and she started toward the front desk and door--I again said stop she sat down and cried. I went to pick her up and she started kicking--great! So her I am with a crying two year old and I had not grabbed my towel or shoes-----so I had to go back into the pool!! A lady stopped and asked G in Spanish where her mommy was (she was a few feet from me) Got her in the car---and dropped the towel in front of the car--Another lady said oh someone dropped a nice towel---thats mine I snapped! Took Gretchen 3 minutes to calm down and then she wanted her daddy (always does when I discipline her) She crawled up in the front seat to give me a hug --I buckled her in and she was asleep with 30 seconds!!! WHEW!! So nap is so quiet here=--==Lee is on his way home 1:30 pm and we are going to the fair and rodeo--with SWEET PEA! I threatened her big to be GOOD!!! Another long evening--hope she sleeps a good two hours! We went to Boogie and Story this morning----we left and went to McDonalds with Isabella and then to swim lessons----next time someone does not put me in the 12 class instead of waiting that extra 12:30 class---they have never lived with a child that needs a NAP!!! G usually does ok postphoning a nap but we have been sooooo busy and overload hit today!! I will post more about the rest of our afternoon tonight!!

SAD DAY........

My computer hard drive was pronounced DEAD! Not fixable and all files LOST! Now I am so bummed about all my thousands of photos I have not backed up on CD for a year and half! I know hard lesson to swallow and all my folders were neatly organized! I did not even cry-----ha! Just a huge lump in my stomach!! Now for the semi saving thought--all my photos of Gretchen at 6 months to two years have been printed and scrapbooked! So not a total loss!! Then last October (when G turned two) I decided to blog most of the photos (not all). I have not printed any photos since October 2007!! Now I need to know if I can save the blog?? UGH! I have no faith in computers at the moment but know that the past two weeks without a computer have been torture! I also have saved about 600 to 800 favorite photos on a memorycard and between the grandmothers I can get some of my collection back-----Now for the laptop-the hard drive was not even three years old-----frustrating!!! Life will go on-----I think--haha!! For the moment I am mourning the loss..................teehhehe! I will bounce back ! Gretchen came into the kitchen this morning and announces--We can go get your computer tomorrow at Circuit City and they will fix it ---does that sound like a great idea!! LOVE THAT GIRL!!! The simplicity of a two year old!!

NEW FAMILY MEMBER!

SO EXCITED THAT BABY JAKE FINALLY WAS BORN AND IN HIS MOMMY AND DADDY'S AND SISTER TAYLORS ARMS!!! The miracle of adoption and the year and half they have waited and prayed for this little boy is beyond a blessing! Roger is my cousin or more like a brother growing up. Roger and Alison started with all their paperwork and completed their dossier for Guatemala and then switched to an agency here in the USA when they saw Guatemala adoptions were so unstable! Long wait and many ,many setbacks but God provided a baby boy on Monday when they had given up on adoption and decided to go with fertility treatments the beginning of the summer. Please pray for Jake as he was born Tuesday July 29, 2008-at 4 pounds 8 oz. He is in NICCU at a very good pedatric hospital in Spokane. Continue to pray for him to breathe on his own and grow stronger to go home!!! Both birthparents have signed off and just waiting for the court date on AUG. 7th at 9 am----LEE AND I AND EVEN GRETCHEN ARE SO EXCITED TO MEET JAKE AND WELCOME HIM INTO OUR FAMILY!!! Gretchen saw his picture today and said LET'S GO SEE BABY JAKE NOW MOMMY! Rejoicing in God's timing and provision!!
