FRIDAY --LAST DAY OF VACATION!

Thursday/Friday night G woke up about midnight in the hotel and said mommy WHAT is THAT NOISE? It was daddy snoring---I had her turn over and she tossed and turned for a good hour---as I laid WIDE awake--listening to both of them-Ha! She then woke up at 6 am and asked for a cereal bar and sippy---I handed them to her in the dark and she was already asleep!!! She slept until 8:30 am---we both did!!! Daddy left and took the van to school as we packed up everything in the hotel room--HOW MUCH STUFF CAN ONE FAMILY HAVE FOR A WEEK!! I should have taken a photo! He came back by 11:30 am and we had hot dogs at Costco for lunch--the weather was cold so we decided to save the zoo for another weekend! It was around 12:30 so one would have thought G would have napped--ya especially when we have gotten her to sleep in the van this whole week---nope --she finally stopped singing and talking at 3:45 pm--got almost an hour nap when we pulled into the garage! These photos were all taken while we waited for daddy to come back and get us!

She helped pack the car and took the MILK so he could pack-cute!! We decided the zoo would have been to cold and will go again this summer!

Oh to be two again!! (THURS )

Gretchie woke up this morning and says MOMMY look under the bed..my ball is under there! ha!! I swear she is not awake sometimes--Yesterday Lee called in the middle of her long nap and she sits up says WHo are you taking to and lies back down---sleeps another 45 min!!! We took daddy to school this morning and Nana called so G ate her cheerios while mommy talked to Nana 20 min in the parking lot! Came back G took a bath---with complaining the whole time--until I said NO BATH** NO PARK!!! I love this outfit G is wearing wish they made adult clothes that cute!! We took a walk around the hotel as I talked to Amma and went up the elevator! We ran into Target to get another memory card--I wanted another one for my digital photo frame I got for Christmas! Since we are going to the zoo Saturady also---whoa the photos---Gretchie wanted to see the elephants that she had played with in the toy aisle on Tuesday---I let her carry the baby elephant in the box and then we gave it a kiss and put it back for a nap!! We took a shortcut through the shoe dept. She says oh look pink Dora shoes---they are so cute and wanted to try them on!! I let her then we put them back on the shelf!! She refused to get in her carseat-she says I dont want to listen (got in trouble)----ugh! I said NO CARSEAT** NO PARK!! That worked--whats the resistence lately I have no idea-but TWO!!! This morning was all on her sweet time!! I got in the drivers side and SIGHED--mommy are you mad was the voice from the backseat!! We had a blast at the park(11-12:30)--there was a teeter totter and climbing metal blocks- no swings---The slide was really high I took her down three times and then she ended up going down all BYSELF!! She figured she could stop herself with her shoes! We ate lunch at the picnic table--cold pizza from last night, cheetos,raisins and cheerios from breakfast and daddy's pop! Sounds kinda gross after I typed that ! There were tons of airplanes overhead and she says where are they going so each time I came up with a random city--when I said Guatemala -She yells OH Let's go with them and get a baby!!! Oh I wish it was that easy!!Nap on the way back to the hotel----she slept from 12:40 to 3:20 (2 hours and 40 min--then fell asleep for another ten min!) I took photos of her trying to wake up kinda funny!! But it wasnt until 10:15 pm until she was asleep tonight! Picked daddy up at school and had a dessert bar in the cafeteria area---went to the park and had fun--this park had swings a rock wall and a hill with a slide to slide down into sand!! Tooo fun!! So two parks today! The forcast is predicting SNOW for the weekend -whaa! Papa and Nana and cousin Cole decided not to join us at the zoo!! Went back to the hotel and swam from 6 to 6:45 pm---I love swimming!! We then went to eat at Arbys!! G was in a world of her own at Arbys--playing with the foil off the sandwhich and talking non stop!!! Saying its your turn and then ok now its my turn! We got into the van and she says Daddy where are we going---to Portland! We are in Wilsonville which is 20 miles south of Portland--but she asked a question and then answered herself--and where did she come up with Portland--when her mind has been on Guatemala all day!!! She saw another airplane and told daddy it was going to Guatemala for a baby! On the way back to the hotel she was singing every song she knew and changing her voice saying IF YOU DON'T LISTEN I AM SPANKING YOU---I will listen to mommy and daddy ok she was saying to herself-- I am a good girl and not a baby! It was making us both laugh!!! As you can see her nap wound her up and then swimming this early evening did not make her tired!! OH---the only thing was it made mommy and daddy more tired trying to keep up with a two year old!!! WE LOVE HER PERSONALITY!!!

Wet Wednesday in Wilsonville!

Ok--Gretchie has been sleeping great and woke up once in the middle of the night (TUES) and said where is my purple blankie (its pink) She slept from 8:50 pm to 7:30 am---we were very nervous to bring her this week with her night dreams she had 4 weeks ago--SHE LOVES HER SLEEPING BAG!! I had to put a pillow next to the wal--she banged her head a couple times the first night and never woke up!!I am posting a photo of her sleeping last night on the floor--next to our king bed! We took daddy to school (WED) and then went through the drive through at MDonalds---Came back ate and watched cartoons as mommy played on the blogs (so addicting especially when I am on vacation and NO DISHES **NO LAUNDRY **NO VACUUMING!! AH!**NO RESPONSIBILTY (YA RIGHT)) Mommy took me to storytime again at the library at 10:30 am after much convincing I needed a bath this morning she gave me a big wipe/scrub down--I was NO WAY GOING IN THE TUB! G loves baths---so we will try again Thursday! Her blue t-shirt is one I bought for .98 cents!!The independence has gotten bad when we are not at home and everything is different! She is great with the room key but has to do it all BYSELF!!! Storytime was exactly like Tues night stories---They were all around a GIANT theme and Growing Big!! She knows the songs already! They had Danny and the Dinasaur acted out---she loves that book! We played in the children's section from 11 to 12:40 am---They have books dollhouse and puzzles, puppets and stage! Gretchie went up and grabbed a puzzle piece from this girl (3 yrs) out of nowhere and says MINE! -






I have never seen this agressive behavior from her it usually takes her awhile to warm up----but explained that was not nice and she gave it back! It ended up that the two girls played AWESOME and when it was time to go Ella (3 yr) gave Gretchie a hug and G explained that was sooo nice!!! The mom was from Germany and said I wish you lived closer so the girls could play. Of course mommy and Ella's mommy talked non stop the whole hour and 40 min!!! We have met the nicest people each trip we have come! Nap---2 hours and 20 min!!! SO I woke her ---wanted her to go to bed later and then daddy got out at 3;30 so I gave G a hot pocket and away we went to pick daddy up at school. Came back and colored watched Donut Man and colored our Giant sheets from story time and did our ABC puzzle , played hide andeek in the curtains--while daddy took a nap---

We then went on an adventure to find a TACO TIME---daddy's favorite place! Typed in Taco Time into the GPS--and there was one 6 miles from the hotel--NOW.......................the 7 times we have been here with Gretchie in the last two years and 4 or 5 times before that we were so suprised there was one so close!! SO it was in another small town and on country roads but we had a GPS----first trip we have used it on--Lee used it for work! Taco Time here we come--with a two year old yelling I want a turn to push the buttons on the GPS----fun!!! Taco Time on the right --You have arrived the lady on the GPS said! Well there were strip malls and shops everywhere so we scanned our eyes on both sides of the street and drove through to search-----------we could not find it!! Stopped to reprogram the GPS and look at addresses AND Right in front of us was a building that had been closed and abandoned and run down---IT was our TACO TIME!! hahha

So off to Godfathers Pizza where we ate--Gretchie played with the glass rocks in a container that had a votive candle!! She was making a circle and triangle! Sh kept saying count with me... 1, 2, 3!! Mommy and G ran into Target to get more cough med, elephant for when we go to the zoo on Saturday---(she doesnt know I took it off the shelf--the ones she played with Tues) child scissors to cut our craft from story and cheetos for daddy. When we went in G says I want to go kiss the baby elephants goodnight--- I was no way taking her down that aisle. In fact I am suprised smartie pants did not see me hand the elephantto the checkout man !!! Daddy ran into Albertsons to get pop and Mommy changed G into jammies so we could drive back to the hotel it was already 8:15 pm--no luck she did not fall asleep to the hotel ---but was asleep by 9!!!
