I bought G watercolor paints for VDay. Today we decided to paint--she sat in her booster seat for an hour and half. The only thing was she wanted to watch Babar while she painted--her back was toward the tv and still was addicted to the movie---She painted four pictures and wanted to paint more after dinner--which we told her to wait until tomorrow! Saturday morning first words out of her cute little voice wer LET'S GO PAINT!! Wow--have I got an artist or LOTS OF PAINTINGS!!!

Fotos 2007 February Favorites

I started this post last night stayed up until 1:30 am -and still did not get pictures loaded----no idea where the time went!! These are only five photos from last February (YES 5 favorites were hard to choose)--according to Gretchie when I showed her the pictures I AM SO TINY!! OH BABY G!!
Lee wakes up at 5 am---Gretchie decided to have another early morning 6:15 am (She said she had to go potty--and see daddy) When I picked her up she was still asleep---I was halfway downstairs when I realized shes asleep again!! We fell asleep in the recliner until 8:10 am----oh I don't like doing this because I get so stiff!! We returned our library movies (Maisy and Heffalump) She had in her mind Babar-Father Christmas would be sitting on the shelf waiting for her---even though we say MAYBE --she was heart broken and looked at me and said I can't find it and burst into tears. I scooped her up and sat down on the stool --G it is ok--other kids are sharing that movie we will find a new different movie! She was fine with that--we did find HORTON and the EGGS (Dr Seuss elephant). How fnny is that when she has been playing with elephants and eggs!! I had to take her over to the book side and pick out books. When we got home she was saying no elephant movie ---I popped it in anyways and after the movie was over she YELLS THAT WAS SUCH A GREAT MOVIE MOMMY! haha--She has been changing her mind lately and seeing if I am going to react (I usually do not) The big thing now is she comes up while I am on the phone and asks quietly can I talk---I say wait a minute and then I hand her the phone she runs off with a smile on her face!!!


She asked last night if we could call Aunt Sheila---I did call and she was not home--then G said what about Cole (cousin) so I say Cole is with Aunt Sheila. We called Aunt Amber and Nana and neither answered! So....G says what about we call Austin (cousin) . I tried Nana one more time so G could talk. Today we called Amma---G took the phone and paced back and forth and was showing Amma all her toys and Crafts. She then heard me on the 2nd phone--and comes running in saying my mommy is on the cell phone---HI MOMMY!! Guess I could have called her and she would have been just as excited!!!

Muffins and Horses!!

TERRIFIC TWO YEAR OLD THURSDAY!!!

If I could brag a minute......Gretchen was so terrific today back to not demanding like Mon and Wed and using please and thank-yous and cuter than ever!! My heart sunk when I heard her sweet voice this morning at 5:45 AM!!!!! I am in trouble if she wakes up this early and not going to bed until 10:45 pm!! She did go back to bed immediately and woke back up at 6:10 am---Daddy went upstairs to get her--the morning was fun and G took a long bath while mommy talked on the phone!! She took a two hour nap and we played this afternoon after we made muffins!! THIS IS SO FUN SHE SAID LET'S SIT IN MY CHAIR AND EAT THE MUFFINS!!! (she ate three ) Dinner---playtime-- bed--yahoo!

Hiding the Eggs!! (Wed 2/20)

So what is a two year old suppose to do with 3 dozen colored plastic eggs?!? HIDE THEM UNDER MY BED---what fun!! In fact mommy was late to Boogie today because she was snapping photos of me under the bed------ after me making her "BREAKFAST" with my play food!! Rest of the day I was naughty--(I will spare the details) NO NAP (mommy tried for 2 and half hours) then I was taken on a ride to fall asleep (at 4 pm and fell asleep within 3 min of leaving our house) (Mom then woke me up at 5 pm --) Boy was I just not feeling good and on top of it my daddy did not come home at 5:40 pm and stayed for a union meet and got home at 8 pm!! I turned into an angel when he got home!! (of course)

BED at nine and tossed and turned until 10:45 pm----Boy did mommy earn her wages today!! $$$

Elephants and Eggs** TUES 2/19

THE TUESDAY NEWSPAPER ADS HAVE ARRIVED!!! SHE WAS SO EXCITED SINCE I HAVE NOT TAKEN HER OUTSIDE ALOT THIS WEEK DUE TO SNIFFLES!
THE BIG RED CAR AT SUPERONE TO GET MILK AND REAL EGGS!!
LOOK I CAN REACH THE LIGHT SWITCH---ALL BYSELF!!!
CAUGHT--GUILTY G!! SHe was standing on her chair turning the light on and off and mom came in with the camera!
EGGS are easier to carry in my Dora hamper!! When it is not being used for basketball hoop!! Did I mention my dirty cothes don't go in here a lot!

LOOK AT ALL MY STICKAS!!!! I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THESE FOR A YEAR!! I STARTED with one or two a week and now am getting 8 to 10 a day!!!! HIP HIP HOORAY FOR GRETCHEN!!!!!

UMMM---Notice her hand in her pocket assesing the MESS!!! Maybe the elephants will play and eat the eggs with me----with a couple balloons in the mixture!!! She did feed her elephants eggs before she went to bed --and gave each elephant an egg in their trunk!

Princess Monday !!

Sunday we got three new dresses from G 's friend Norah! These dresses were frilly and lacey and really fun to try on.!The second one pictured was hanging in her closet!! It is so cute she goes immediately to twirling and singing!! And kissing the mirror!!!! Papa and Nana had given her a long length mirror for her birthday. (know any two year old with a long length mirror???)

Tuesday night bed (read the previous potty story first)

Tuesday night bedtime---G climbs into bed --sucks the bottle down FAST!! Then says I have to go peepie- and poopie--(always at 8:20 pm) But I was late getting her to bed so it was about 8:35 pm! So as she was sitting on the potty chair --she goes! She then decides to say DICULUOS DICULUOS.........................over and over!! I came in and said Gretchie what are you saying as I looked at the clown on the potty chair she had her hands palms up (mimicking me ) ----it occurred to me the night before I told her it was RIDICULOUS that she had to go potty twice during bedtime!! Then she says I am not done I have to go poopie--I was busy putting clothes away and she was playing with her radio toy. I say Gretchie 5 minutes. She says its not working........I don't have to go poopie tonight! FUNNY CHILD!!

I decided to take advantage of the situation and cut her hair---I gave her SMARTIES and bribed (since I had been trying to trim her bangs off and on for two weeks) She yells NO CUT NO HAIR!! WHY did I even think she would cooperate---I had already given her a couple candies----when she agreed I could cut it. She then proceeded to eat one candy at a time---between yelling No HAIR---NO CUT!!!
I calmly said I get the candies if mommy can't cut hair--took them away!
She looked at me--said nothing (now that was a moment to remember)
I said close your eyes and mommy will chop chop----SHE DID CLOSE HER EYES!! After I was done G jumped up and said you DID IT MOMMY!
Like it was all me------ha--I said OH you look Beautiful go show daddy!!
Whenshe got into bed the 2nd time --She said I closed my eyes and mommy cut my hair!!! AHHHHHHHHHH----
Asleep within ten minutes!
