Licking milk (Lipstick & Lemons & Legos)

story #1--Gretchen was eating cereal and toast when all of a sudden she yells mommy look puppy is licking milk!! Guess puppy was being taken care of and won't go hungary today!! The milk in the bottom was almost gone---ha!!

story #2---I was rushing around getting ready and caught Gretchen with a tube of lipstick which she had put one dab on each cheek! It was very dark red and very hard to wipe off before we went to storytime.

story #3--Tonight at dinner "G" was in the refrig. with daddy I hear her talking away. She was telling him that mommy let her taste the ( ranch dressing ) and she did not like it! I do not remember her not liking it?? She then came over and was carrying a small plastic lemon that had lemon juice. Thank you daddy she said and started pretend eating the outside of the lemon saying ohh yummy! She then asked me to open it please mommy. I opened it and poured a couple drops in my hand--she took her finger and tried it -made a face and then said I LIKE IT!!! More please!!! She the proceeded to fake cough --it was soooo funny!

story #4--Legos were the toy of choice tonight after bath! Look I build house! She was playing so good ---I let her stay up a little later-but she did take a 2 hour and 20 min nap-----I even woke her up!

Busy Little Elves--

WHEW- In the last three days we finished our shopping ,wrapping and even made a double batch of sugar cokies, stuffed and stamped our Christmas cards--just need to lick them and address them!!! Wed. we left our house at 9:15 am and went to TriCities (30 min) we got home at 4 ish~~ Gretchen was better than AWESOME!!! Shopping with a two year old you never know what to expect!! We took along Marissa (doll) which we could not leave the house without a coat for her doll--"mommy Marissa is cold--she needs a coat"! So after putting a coat on the doll--we were ready to buckle Marissa into the van! Marissa even got in trouble at Costco from mommy for eating the belt in the cart--"Look mommy Misha is eating!!!" Oh thats dirty I said!! So then Gretchie continues to tell her no eat its dirty!!! TOO FUNNY!!! Our next stop was Outdoor Sportsman---G is singing in the cart when I was stuffing the cart full of gifts all of a sudden she started to hide and bury her face in the stuff! I looked down and she says...BEAR SCAREY!! It was a huge life like bear up on the shelf!! I said Gretchie its not scarey its just like your teddybear at home---OH-she says and then wanted to see the bears eyes but she still clung on to me. That (bear--scarey) has been the topic of conversation the last two days!!! We put our gifts in the car and visited PET SMART!! G loves the fish and calls them all Nemo and Dorie!! The cats were next as she starts talking to them and telling them to eat and drink the water !! One was playful and even took a hit through the bars--she laughed and said GOODNIGHT MEOWS!!! Next stop Target (it was noon) (naptime usually) So I took her jacket and the ziplock bags of crackers ,cheese bologna and marshmellows and made a soft place for her to sit and eat lunch----and the doll too !!! Hour later she was still great---she did take the flashlght and stand up and use it as a microphone singing Twinkle Twinkle while I was on the cell phone--but she could have wanted out of the cart , been crying , etc. We got in the van and she fell asleep within 7-8 min!! I drove over to Shopko and stuffed my Christmas cards in envelopes and stamped them while she slept!! YEAH! When G woke up (50min) she said Buy More Presents--thats my shopper girl! I put her in the stroller and off we went to buy our last gift!!

Thursday we made sugar cookies which turned out to soft to roll--so I stuck them in refrig. and then they were to hard--so I just made small round cookies--6 dozen! G put candies on top and MORE CANDIES in her mouth!!! We also finished packing the two boxes to be mailed! Gretchie decided her bike needed to be wrapped with paper!!!

Today we went to post office and bank and storytime at the library---G made a paperbag baby reindeer! I bought her pink reindeer jammies at Costco WED but let her wear them that night because she was so WONDERFUL shopping---she kept the pj top on all day yesterday!! Sooo snuggly she says!!! She took a 2 and half hour nap yesterady--hopefully mommy could be so lucky again today---

AWAY IN A MANGER..............

This video started out great with her singing--she stalled out and knew I was taping her song! I still am posting it because it shows her cute personality or two year old not wanting to finish the song even though she knows the words!

Decorating the Gingerbread Cookies!

Ok--what a big job with a two year old (keep in mind I only made 8 huge cookies) Gretchen kept pointing to the cookies and saying one for Nana one for Papa one for Amma and one for Aunt Amber ----so we go through all the relatives!! I decided to make them into ornaments--tying the green ribbon around the neck , tyng a string on the top to hang, putting candy kisses on the eyes and nose and writing a "G" on the belly of gingerbread took forever---I even broke one trying to make a hole in the head!! "G" loved the "candies yummy" so more candy went in her mouth than for the eyes and nose!! After it was done I showed her the baby one we made for her--she looks at it and says oooooh scarey!! I captured her look. I found a new gingerbread man book up in my book stash!! So we read it and she loved the part RUN RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!! Can't catch me I'm the gingerbread man. I only read it once!!! GOOD GRIEF GIRL!! Tooo funny!!! Daddy took care of "G" tonight for a couple hours---she asked for mac and cheese again for her and daddy to eat--ha! Barney has this cute mac and cheese song and now that I am getting smart how to do videos I will try to post the song and dance she does--oh ya! (part of song) Gretchen is singing all the time the last couple days----its adorable!!

LOOK My Friends!!

This afternoon after nap (3pm)--mommy said we had to go shopping---the roads were so icy this morning they cancelled school all around us!! Mommy had to get more flour and vanilla wafers so we can make more cookies!! We also bought cousin Aaron a gift and
Uncle Jeff a birthday gift! I came out in the garage and saw 5 of the neighbor kids sliding down their driveway---I waved and yelled hello---they said Hi Gretchen!
They asked me to come sled with them---mom unfortuanely said NO! I did not cry but was soooo disappointed (she put her hed down and was so quiet)---mom said if the kids are there when we get back she promised I coud play. We were gone 24 minutes and the whole time I was at the store I said "promise my friends promise! "
The kids were gone when we returned---I just stood in my driveway so sad! Mommy said I could play tomorrow with them and I could watch TIGGER now!! Tooo cute!!
Before we left Gretchen was having the cutest conversation with the cat.

(mom grabs the camera) Meow say cheese to mommy.........right there ..look at mommy..............Come back meow........this way.....I show cake (our gingerbread cookies) Look meow at this....it is my Heffalump (color sheet mommy had colored) (Mommy said G we need shoes and jacket on) Meow want to go bye bye me.............(notice she forgets the word with) Meow bye bye me...............pleeeease mommy!!! Lets go meow follow me march march march! I explained the cat had to stay at home and would not like the car and may get sick --before we left she says meow stay home you get sick!!! My poor cat!!!
Yesterday at children's church "G" wanted to play the game with the kids. She got in line and went into the next room--they were playing red rover which is a hard concept (my opinion) for any two year old to stand and wait to run!! She did stand and hold hands for a bit but then ran anyway.
I took her out of the game and a couple others came over and played with her---she was laughing , jumping up and down and having a blast!
