WILD WONDERFUL WEEKEND!

Oh my-*-talk about packed full of activity--G and I left Hermiston at 9 am Saturday morning to drive two hours to Yakima! Lee worked Saturday morning. The weather was absolutely gorgeous shorts weather all week including Sat and Sunday!! Stopped at Aunt Amber's and then went to a sub sandwhich place and took it to the park--Gretchie was adorable and named the park Blue Park--(it had blue slide and swings) . She got to see her cousin Chelsea (15) --it had been a year since she saw her. Daddy met us there and Amber left and we ate with daddy. We then followed Lee across town to his new shop and I sat in the car while G slept and Lee did his paperwork---another day in the car?? Drove around for a couple hours and looked at areas for houses---got to Uncle Sid's house (Lee's brother) at 5:30 ish and went to Red Robin for dinner----to celebrate Sid and my birthdays! Gretchen was AWESOME---but she has fallen head over heels in love with her uncle!!! Went to the hotel ---about 9 ish. Woke up to another sunny day--and had breakfast (i the lobby G says) and Lee walked G along the river in front of the hotel---(we stayed at this hotel three times last August when Lee was working in Yakima-they were short on men-so they paid for our weeks) SPOILED ---I just go along to stay at a hotel--Gretchie has stayed at more hotels and loves it) (they have an outside pool so no time for swimming this time) The three of us then went to Farmers Market downtown Yakima and drove around some more looking at houses---G turned to nagging and wanted to go to Uncle Sid's house (said it 100 or more times)---so finally we just gave up looking at houses--- she played ball and with the dog (Abby) as we looked at all the flyers on Sid's couch----(exausting mentally --looking for a new house) Lee tried to put G down for a nap while I ran to grocery store---until I get a call PLEASE COME AND GET HER!!! -my intution was yeah she will not go to sleep for daddy-I WAS RIGHT!! I strapped her in after I got back from Safeway and three min later was asleep--I LEFT HER IN THE CAR FOR A NAP!! So I sat in the car in the driveway as she slept one hour again--(this week has been crazy-but at least she is napping)(who cares where??) BQ-hotdogs corn on cob and salad and chips. What a sunny beautiful relaxing day!!!! Looked at more houses at 4:30---but she turned naughty again(demanding attention from us--and when we told her to stop--she cried I WANT TO GO HOME!!) Overload (for all 3 of us)---Drove to shop to get Lee's car and we forgot his CAR KEY in his lunch box across town at Sid's--ugh--plus Sat am he locked his keys in the car at work--so thankfully I had not left Hermiston yet to grab the spare key!! G had her popsicle at Uncle Sid's so on the way to shop the 2nd time she was entertained!! She actually is a great traveller--We toured daddy's new shop--ITS HUGE!! Compared to the other to shops in WALLA WALLA AND PENDLETON! G wore the Id on her neck and ate her popsicle in a cup with a spoon! We sat outside and enjoyed the green grass and landscaping & of course our daughter! G rolled down the green hills!! We then said goodbye to daddy at 6:30 and I tried to go to Target but should have figured it out --after 30 min she wanted to walk and not sit in the cart--so we went to the car without buying one thing and got pj on and gas and left YAKIMA at 7:27 pm at 7:47 pm I pulled over and she was sound asleep and slept through the night to 7 am!!! I was ten minutes from home and the hillside was on fire (bare dry hills) I was afraid it was going to jump the freeway but all was fine driving--
