Last night t snowed!! Now growing up in Spokane where we had lots of snow---this snow was not even on the grass but it was coming down pretty good about 8:45 pm---this morning its cold and 37 degrees! Well daddy took Gretchen outside to show her the snow---she played in it last year when we went to Spokane--but not sure she remembers!!! She was having a hard time going to bed last night so when we showed her the snow she wanted her jacket on---Lee whispered to her go to bed and tomorrow you can wear your new snowpants!!! Off the little girl scales the steps and her bed and lies her head down on the pillow!!! She is sleeping soo much better in the last two weeks---its back to normal bedtime routine for the most part---Funny thing is she can't climb out of her bed since we put the headboard/footboard on--so she sleeps through the night with out her trot at 2 am!!! In fact at nap she says I am sleepy I take nap everyday!! Gretchen also earned 4 stickas for potty yesterday-which I am not holding my breath--she picks and chooses the times she wants to go (bedtime again-the last two nights) I will admit I lost my temper yesterday---I am usually pretty calm but right before bath yesterday I asked her if she needed to use her potty. She says "NO THANKS" (tell me if that is cute) She closes her bedroom door as I am running the water in the tub. Not seconds later she yells UH OH------Pottychair! Too Late!! I grabbed her and stuck her on the pottychair in the hall outside her room. I said in a stern voice GRETCHEN YOU KNOW WHERE TO GO POTTY!! As she sat there with her chin in her chest she smiles--I say do not smile at me like that--we go in the pottychair not on the rug!!
A sweet little voice comes and says SORRY MOMMY!! So I made her repeat the potty song we had made up and we have added verses over the months!!! She is so close---but has been forever!!! Patience and Consistency is what mommy quotes to myself over and over!!!
