OK what to do with a two year old on a cold frosty day! Gretchen asked to go swimming this morning before I even said it was bath time!! She went swimming alot this summer because we were in so many hotels and then when we stayed home I had her pool filled daily for awhile! She wanted her suit on this morning---what would it hurt besides add some "fun to bathtime today." Gretchie took a long bath as usual and then it was almost naptime---
This afternoon she wanted to go "swimming again." She went and got her "fish suit I found it!"Gretchie yells!! (It was in the cupboard where the diapers are kept.) I put it on over her sweatshirt.
She then p
roceeded with her MISSION of going swimming---I should have known she would want to go get the pool in the shed! As she is pulling on the handle of the sliding glass door and saying "Mommy please ...........I go swim and we get pool." I say oh it is sooooo cold outside to go swimming! She continues to get more frustrated--I wonder how am I going to get her mind out of going outside so I spread a beach towel out on the kitchen floor and put her Princess folding chair out--- She says OH THANKS MOMMY !! Well a two year old does not forget-- and starts crying at the door by now to "go get my pool." So I opened the sliding door-----she stood frozen there and stared and then says with her cute little voice----ooh it is COLD!!! She backed up and said OK!!! I had to show her I was right!!!
